These Three

"What can we bring to the Lord?
What kind of offerings should we give him?
Should we bow before God with offerings of yearling calves?
Should we offer him thousands of rams and ten thousand rivers of olive oil?
Should we sacrifice our firstborn children to pay for our sins?

No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you:
to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."
(Micah 6: 6-8, NLT)

Do you try to win favor with God?  What things are you doing in an attempt to impress Him?  Some may give God possessions or their most prized treasures.  Others may offer up religious acts of worship.  God doesn't want those things unless they are accompanied by a life that pleases Him.

The Old Testament is filled with all kinds of laws and regulations that were to be followed.  However, here in Micah, it clearly states, there are three things God wants us to do.  And, by so doing, God is pleased.

"People have tried all kinds of ways to please God, but God has made his wishes clear:  He wants his people to be just, merciful, and to walk humbly with Him.  In your efforts to please God, examine these areas on a regular basis.  Are you fair in your dealings with people?  Do you show mercy to those who wrong you?  Are you learning humility?"  (Life Application Bible)
