PUSH!

"This is the day of distress and rebuke and disgrace, as when children come to the point of birth and there is no strength to deliver them." Isaiah 37: 4

We have all heard of the popular Christian statement "PUSH". It's an acronym for "Pray Until Something Happens." When you don't have the strength or wisdom for the battle ahead, just PUSH!

While reading today in Isaiah 37, I ran across a scripture that brought the word PUSH to mind. Isaiah states, "This is the day of distress and rebuke and disgrace, as when children come to the point of birth and there is no strength to deliver them." Any mother can relate! You get so desperate to give birth, that you push until you lose all your strength (or you Push Until Something Happens!)

My personal story was that my body, under distress, could not deliver my daughter. So, my doctor called for an emergency C-section. After about 30-45 minutes, my little girl, Natalie Grace, was born. Sometimes, God will reach his mighty hand into our life to perform a C-section! When we can't do it on our own, He will see us through!

If you are feeling distressed, just PUSH! That's what King Hezekiah did. After hearing the report from his enemy, he tore his clothes and went into the temple of the Lord. He Prayed Until Something Happened!
